St. Louis' own basement psychedelic band, Messy Jiverson weaves traditional rock melodies and new millennium sound effects into body swaying beats and attention-grabbing songs.

Guitarist Mikey Wehling, keyboardist Nate Carpenter, drummer Cannon DeWeese, percussionist Phillip James, multi-instrumentalist Gavin Duffy and bass guitarist John Carpenter navigate through rapid fire changes and space-age sound effects that can transport listeners to a galaxy in their minds. The band has an impressive online presence: Free music downloads -- including the band's latest album Rivers, Old Growth, and the Wizard’s Cloak -- can be found its Web site, while photos and set lists from Messy's summer 2010 tour are on Facebook.
