Stepping away from the hard-charging psychobilly his band is known for, Tiger Army frontman Nick 13 entered the KDHX studios with just his guitar to pay tribute to his love of country music.

Hearing Nick 13 strum, sing and whistle immediately brings to mind images of the classic singing cowboy, a lone and lonely figure rooted in the heart and soul of the American landscape. One can almost imagine himself or herself in a roadhouse, saloon or sitting fireside somewhere out West, listening to these tales of love and loss. Nick 13 is a remarkable songwriter and knows exactly how to express the emotion his songs imply in his voice, sounding like a cross between Hank Williams Sr. and Pure Prairie League’s Craig Fuller as he croons over his acoustic guitar. He's currently on tour to support his first, self-titled solo album -- catch him in a honky tonk near you soon.
