Formed in Bend, Ore., the band is led by brothers Willy (guitar, vocals) and Cody (vocals, fiddle, mandolin) Braun. Willy is also the band's primary songwriter, and after all those years on the road he's found plenty to write about. Their latest effort, "Good Luck & True Love," covers a range of subjects, ranging from life on the road ("Weatherbeaten Soul") to those old country -- and rock -- standards, love and heartbreak ("Guarded Heart," "I Never Liked St. Valentine").
Joining the Braun brothers is Chris Schelske on bass, Jay Nazz on drums and David Abeyta on lead guitar. "Good Luck & True Love" is the band's seventh studio album, and the record was recorded primarily live in an old farmhouse turned studio in Austin, Texas. The band wanted to make a record that captured its live sound and the essence of their last fifteen years together. Road-worn and weathered, these new songs are as comfortable and familiar as an old cowboy's favorite pair of boots.
