The Nashville-based singer-songwriter creates characters -- young, forlorn, hopeful, confused -- that are familiar because the trials and scenes they're a part of mirror our own lives. As her voice rolls along the top of simply-picked guitar melodies, the words left behind linger just a little while. Perhaps the sound of a particular pair of words resonates, or the twist in a tale hits close to home.
