The Nashville-based singer-songwriter creates characters -- young, forlorn, hopeful, confused -- that are familiar because the trials and scenes they're a part of mirror our own lives. As her voice rolls along the top of simply-picked guitar melodies, the words left behind linger just a little while. Perhaps the sound of a particular pair of words resonates, or the twist in a tale hits close to home. These songs are meant to last, but with her life moving forward and more tales to tell, Samantha Harlow likely won't sit on them for more than a spell, even though you may.
