So Many Dynamos, deftly named using the linguistical mechanism of a palindrome, are well-versed in the indie rock style, but they give it their own distinctively St. Louis spin.

Their sound is a mashup of lo-fi garage rock and minimalist electronics with a dash of punk rock energy delivered with more of the contemporary pop-punk flavor.

So Many Dynamos have been at it since 2002, releasing three albums, the most recent being "The Loud Wars" (2009). The band has toured extensively over the years, including career highlights such as their 2007 CMJ conference gig in New York City and 2008 performance at South by Southwest. The band is back out in St. Louis playing shows as they bid farewell to their guitarist of nearly eight years, Griffin Kay.
