The Cure and Joy Division, with their upbeat, yet dark, sonic moods were a breeding place for the current wave of moody, atmospheric bands like The Foreign Resort.

Streaming Audio

Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, the band's driving rhythm section is coupled with shoegaze guitar work and new wave melody. The sound is a bit of a steady, gray vibe that may fill your world with a little menace, but a closer listen reveals all kinds of little lyrical quotes, fills and riffs.

The band released two EPs, one each in 2010 and 2011, and a full album, "Scattered and Buried," in 2012. The first two songs in this session are from the 2012 release and the third is their recent single release, "Dead End Roads," which is available in several remix forms.
