Fresh locals the Great Grandfathers bring the smooth electronic heat with a mission to make FM radio pop an art form once again.

Made up of brothers and vocalists Lucas and Trevor Prize, the Great Grandfathers produce slick pop numbers for quite the opposite demographic than what their moniker may suggest. Heavy on placing guitar and electronic effects in their proper place, the brothers are supported live by drummer Ryan Adams (Dock Ellis band). Eric Enger (formerly of Gentleman Auction House) assisted in minting their upcoming debut full length, "Saint Anthony’s Fire." Mixing indie pop and R&B hooks (think Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr.) with an emphasis on producing music for the listening masses, the Great Grandfathers draw broody studio jams penned for the dance floor.

For this session, Lucas Prize and Rebecca Prinster performed stripped-down acoustic arrangements of those lush, layered tunes.
