The Columbia, Missouri-based trio -- consisting of Pay Kay, Sean Canan and Ryan Kennedy -- has a style that places them under the same big tent as contemporary groups like Yonder Mountain String Band and Greensky Bluegrass. Their sound belies a love of traditional music, but their choice of covers in this set -- "E.I." by Nelly and "(In the Summertime) You Don't Want My Love" by Andy Williams -- makes it clear that, to them, the walls of genre mean little. This is high-octane acoustic music best listened to outdoors, and in the company of good friends.
