Some place the Right Now under the same soul revival roof of the Dap-Kings and the Dynamites, but the Chicago band slips out the back door with pop delivery and uptown blues polish.

Formerly known as Eli Jones, the band -- led by singer Stefanie Berecz and guitarist and songwriter Brendan O'Connell, and featuring a fatback rhythm section and sharp horn section -- is currently touring behind the 2010 album Carry Me Home. The Right Now played at Off Broadway on July 9, 2010.
