The Staves -- this must be loud and heavy music played by guys wearing black and banging heads, right? To your ears' delight, this couldn't be further from the truth. The sweet, light tones of this trio of sisters will swirl around your head and make you smile just as sweetly.

The Staves are comprised of Emily (vocals), Jessica (vocals, guitar), and Camilla (vocals, ukulele) Staveley-Taylor, sisters from England who began their journey, as many artists do, playing open mic nights at the local pub.

The group's first full-length album, "Dead & Born & Grown," is a dynamic, yet pensive record which showcases the sisters' harmonization. "In The Long Run," "Mexico" and "Tongue Behind My Teeth" all call to mind First Aid Kit because they have the same clarity in their harmonies and simplicity in their instrumentation. You would do yourself a favor by taking a listen -- you'll become an instant fan.
