Paul Maroon, Walter Martin and Matt Barrick -- formerly of Jonathan Fire*Eater -- and Peter Bauer and Hamilton Leithauser -- formerly of the Recoys -- left Washington D.C., moved to Brooklyn and became the Walkmen. Notably interested in pared down sounds and vintage instruments, this quintet is currently touring in support of the their sixth studio album, "Heaven," just released.
