Led by singer and songwriter Tristen Gaspadarek, the group released the bedroom-recorded "Teardrops and Lollipops" in 2008, and then, this year, "Charlatans at the Garden Gate," which reveals a deeper connection to early rock & roll and pure girl-group pop music, even as her lyrics get a bit darker and more obsessive.
For this Live at KDHX session, Tristen performs four songs from "Charlatans at the Garden Gate" -- on each the harmonies and reverb-soaked guitar highlight all the hooks and deceptive ambitions.
