  • Artist / Band: Vanity Theft
  • Hosting Show: Rocket 88
  • Sound: Dan Kinney

With a power-pop sensibility and an indie-rock attitude, Vanity Theft wants you to "Get What You Came For."

The all-girl band, based in Dayton, Ohio, is out to prove that even girly girls can rock. A solid rhythm section drives their catchy, riff-based pop-rock with an emphasis on danceability. And whether singing about breakups or about relationships that are just broken, their synth-flavored songs often wield a lyrically sarcastic edge. These girls will break your heart, but at least they'll do it to a beat that you can dance to.

Currently on the road in support of their latest full length release Get What You Came For, the band continues to build on the audience gathered from constant performing, including a stint on 2009's Warped Tour. Vanity Theft recently played Cicero's in the U. City Loop.
