In the wake of a now-defunct Port O'Brien, Van Pierszalowski is beginning to make new indie pop waves with the band WATERS.

For fans of the nautically-obsessed San Francisco band Port O'Brien (see there's a reason for the puns), Pierszalowski's new project couldn't have come at a better time. Echoing the surging, layered songwriter rock of bands like Sea Wolf and the rousing beach-ready folk rock of Dawes, the sound of WATERS fits the all-too-human wobble of Pierszalowski's voice and the memorable images of being lost in the world, waiting to be found and ultimately finding oneself in a good guitar-driven melody.
