The ukulele has been making a comeback, and the Whole Earth Nuclear Ukulele Orchestra is doing its part. Swap your lei for some tie-dye as Dave Spangler and Thom Pallozola give the songs of the Grateful Dead (and more) a plucky acoustic spin.

Now in its second year, the WENUO is a loose collective of friends and musicians who share a love for the Grateful Dead, and express that passion through an arsenal of mini but mighty 4-string instruments. Featuring members of Jake's Leg, Raw Earth, Racket Box and more, the group will be performing a benefit for 88.1 KDHX at the Schalfly Tap Room on January 19, 2011.
