About this Media...

  • Date Recorded: June 4, 2011
  • Artist / Band: Zoe Muth and the Lost High Rollers
  • Hosting Show: The Back Country
  • Sound: Dan Kinney

With irresistible country grace in her voice, Zoe Muth leads the Lost High Rollers from their native Seattle to the Midwest and points beyond.

Currently on tour in support of their second release, Starlight Hotel, Zoe Muth and the Lost High Rollers play country in the familiar but surprisingly difficult to pinpoint traditional style. One of Muth's heroes is John Prine, and you can hear his comic influence on the wry narrative song "If I Can't Trust You With a Quarter How Can I Trust You With My Heart," while her band draws on elements of western swing, country rock and Tex Mex to expand the range of Muth's songs of loving, leaving and learning all along the honky tonk way.

Zoe Muth and the Lost High Rollers perform at Off Broadway on June 4 for an early show.
