Carrie Rodriguez and her band explore an edgy and mature Americana sound on the new release "Give Me All You Got."

Whether it's the soft, catchy ballad "Lake Harriet" or the crunchy, guitar-driven "I Cry For Love," Rodriquez shows us her progressing strengths as a vocalist and songwriter.

88.1 KDHX Chart Position: #3 Americana for February 2, 2013.

Record label, release date, and producer: "Give Me All You Got" was released on Ninth Street Opus Records on January 22, 2013 and was produced by Lee Townsend.

Can be heard on: Drifter's Escape with Mark Perry, Collector's Edition with Christian Schaeffer, Sound Salvation with Steve Pick and Memphis to Manchester with John Wendland.

RIYL: Adele if she was born in the U.S. and grew up in the South; Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt in a more contemporary context.

Hometown: Austin, Texas.

Standout tracks: "Devil in Mind" and "I Cry For Love" exemplify Rodriguez's strength as a songwriter and her ability to gracefully dance the line between edgy pop and Americana.

This label: Ninth Street Opus Records defines itself as "genre-agnostic" and takes pride in the strong live performances of their signed artists.

Play it while: Driving through bland flatlands on a long road trip; you'll get some needed spice out of your car's speakers.

Did you know?: Rodriguez's father, David, is also an acclaimed singer-songwriter who grew up emerged in the Houston folk-music scene.

About the album art: The cover features a full-body portrait of Rodriguez, with a large flower in her hair, standing before iron gates, captivating viewers with her stare.

What the critics say: "Rodriguez at her freewheeling best, an inspired mix of passion and energy that captures the spirit of her feel-the-burn live shows." -- Michael Bialas, Huffington Post.

KDHX Coverage: Carrie played at KDHX's day parties at last year's SXSW as well as performed live in studio on Drifter's Escape on February 13, 2013.
