With 50 years in the music business, Andre Williams does not disappoint. The documentary "Agile, Mobile, Hostile: A Year with Andre Williams" was screened before the show and only made one wonder what kind of show was about to happen.

Andre's past drug abuse and battles with alcohol paint a vividly real picture of addiction and how one man, with the help of a few, can overcome and get back to the business of making music. There is a dark side to everyone, and last night Andre's dark side was set aside in order to deliver a stellar musical performance at Off Broadway.

After an opening set by Ransom Note, the crowd greeted Andre with excitement as he "did his thang" on stage. Multiple jacket changes between songs made you feel like the show had just started, and the audience kept asking for more. Andre is a performer not to miss the next time he is in town. But leave the kids at home; Andre is not a gospel singer!
