The kids packed it in at the Pageant last night with a lofty start to the evening as Angel Deradoorian, armed with her laptop, keys and mellow voice, began the show.

Then the lights dropped and smoke filled the room as Animal Collective moseyed to the stage. The experience felt like being trapped in an iTunes visualizer, and not really minding that there was anything else going on.

Behind their instruments and headlights, Animal Collective made the room move, even though it felt like it might have already been spinning.
