The Heavy Anchor treated south-side St. Louis to an eclectic set of music on Saturday, hosting four bands on a long, loud summer night.

The evening began with Alton-based Hope & Therapy leading off a set of three female-fronted bands. Snot and swagger propelled the Ruthless through their set, and veterans Bagheera brought the early part of the evening to a close.

Then the atmosphere shifted gears as dozens of fans who had been pub-crawling with the Repos poured into the club for a final, furious set of hardcore songs. Fans stomped and slammed their way across the room and the band roared until the end of the night.
