Formed in Austin, Texas in 2005, Band of Heathens merged already successful musicians into a super group. They performed at the Old Rock House last night.

Their jam-based sound resembles acts such as Black Crowes and The Band, with songs that range from a slow ballads to all-out rocking monsters. Members Gordy Quist and Ed Jurdi both add distinguishing vocals and trade guitar leads, while all five members sing harmony.
