Legendary blues man B.B. King stopped in St. Louis and performed for an adoring crowd at the Peabody Opera House on Friday night.

Having toured countless miles while playing juke joints and clubs throughout the world, it was fitting to see him dressed to the nines and sitting center stage in a venue suited for the masters. Although his youthfulness is not what it used to be, his skill and command of the guitar has not lessened and he still grips the neck of his six string in a way that others only dream to do. In between laughs and smiles and conversing with the audience, Mr. King found his sacred space, closed his eyes, leaned back just a bit and unleashed the true blues.

St. Louis based blues hustlers, the Bottoms Up Blues Gang, opened the evening and wowed the crowd with their energetic performance. Being no strangers to the big stage, the Blues Gang was a perfect compliment to a night of B.B. King.
