St. Louis and New Orleans summers have a lot in common -- both are hot and humid -- but a strong breeze on Sunday created a comfortable and exciting show at the Broadway Oyster Bar.

The two cities also have a love of jazz, blues and funk, and New Orleans' own Bonerama entertained a lively crowd with its version of brassy jazz and funk mixtures. The band was formed by Mark Mullins and Craig Klein about 15 years ago while they were playing with Harry Connick, Jr. The Bonerama horns were quickly in-demand. Mark, Craig and Greg Hicks have made up the trombone section for 8 or 9 years. They are backed by Bert Cotton on guitar, Eddie Christmas on drums and Nori Naraoke on bass. The band's latest release, "Shake it Baby," shows off their vocal abilities as well as their well-known New Orleans sound.
