Boxing Clever Records celebrated the release of a new seven inch split-single with an eclectic night of local tunes at Plush on Friday, September 27.

Kicking off the night's festivities to an eager crowd was CaveofswordS. The trio features live instrumentation on top of electronica, with dreamy vocals from Sunyatta McDermott.

This sonic seduction ended swiftly, however, as Superfun Yeah Yeah Rocketship took the stage with all the energy of a Jazzercize class on acid. The duo of guitar and vocals, with tracked synths and drum beats, roared through songs from the split-single with abandon and plenty of banter in between, all under Fabio's watchful eyes.

Vanilla Beans, the second act of the split-disc, closed out the night with their triple-guitar and synth take on pop-rock. Best of all, all three bands were greeted with enthusiasm by a packed house at Plush.
