With the sky overcast, the ground damp and a slight chill in the air, the atmosphere in the Old Rock House was appropriately mellow.

Starting with the acoustic stylings of locals from across the river, Audri and Aaron followed by Everett Thomas, the mood was set to a low key hush with the intimate but attentive crowd.

With winter making its last gasp outside, Cameron McGill took the stage and continued the mellow vibe for several songs before calling the breadth of his talented backing band on stage and getting down to something a little harder hitting. He certainly enjoys his ability to rip out a lyric from the deepest of locations and I came to appreciate it as well. Despite a late set bout of sickness, he finished with a bit of acoustic crooning that left the crowds' folkier yearnings satisfied.
