Local folk band Indian Blanket opened up the sold-out show on Saturday night at the Firebird, which was headlined by First Aid Kit.

Klara Söderberg, half of the First Aid Kit duo, joined Joe Andert, lead singer of Indian Blanket, on stage for a duet. Klara remarked that even though this was their first show in St. Louis, she has spent a lot of time in this town.

First Aid Kit's set started off with a microphone malfunction, but they took this opportunity to sing an acoustic version of Fleet Foxes' "Tiger Mountain Peasant Song." The duo consists of sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg, from Stockholm, Sweden. They appeared before us, in flowing dresses, as though they had stepped out of a dream. Piled-high harmonies sent chills down our spines and gave us a magical night not soon to be forgotten. Also opening -- performing after Indian Blanket -- was singer-songwriger Dylan LeBlanc.
