The Folk School of St. Louis hosted the inaugural St. Louis Folk & Roots Festival at the Atomic Cowboy on Saturday.

The event featured three stages of music upon which a bevy of national and local acts performed, including the Tillers, 3 Penny Acre, Stripmall Ballads, the Lulus and more. Veteran folk act Big Smith closed the festival with their final St. Louis show, for they are disbanding after their current tour.
