The Funky Butt Brass Band brought the sounds of New Orleans to Grand Center for this week's installment of Thursdays at the Intersection.

Saxophone, trumpet, trombone and tuba could be heard echoing off the surrounding buildings as friends and families gathered in Strauss Park to take in the show. Lawn chairs and picnic blankets filled the park, with attendees digging deep into their coolers and baskets for a snack or their favorite beverage. This weekly free event is a favorite of young and old, who can be seen dancing their cares away to some great music.

The performance was part of the weekly summer concert series Thusdays at the Intersection, presented by PNC Arts Alive in partnership 88.1 KDHX and Grand Center, Inc.

Thursdays at the Intersection continues each week through October 4. For more info, visit the Grand Center event page.
