The Jenny Kavanaugh Band performed at Harvest Sessions at Tower Grove Farmer's Market on Saturday, July 19.

The Jenny Kavanaugh Band is a Saint Louis based folk-rock and Americana music group. The band performed two sets as expected, but with a cool twist. The first set was all acoustic music performed by Jenny and John and the second set was a bit more electrified with the full band participating.

Performing today were:
Jenny Kavanaugh on vocals, acoustic guitar
John Kavanaugh on guitar, vocals
John Obrian on bass
Patrick Turek on percussion
Darrell Lee Barber on keyboard
Wayne Corners on guitar

Some of the highlights included "Be Alright," "Bakerfield, CA," "Something Wrong," "Giving Up On Love," as well as an acoustic version and an electric version of "River Town," with the audience encouraged to vote for their favorite version. I believe that the unofficial results were a tie.

The Harvest Sessions is a free Saturday morning concert series presented at the Tower Grove Farmers Market throughout the market season. Harvest Sessions is presented by KDHX and Worms Way Hydroponics & Organics. Also sponsoring Harvest Sessions is the Regional Arts Commission and the Arts Education Council.
