Jessica Lea Mayfield kicked off her summer tour at the Firebird on Tuesday night to a captivated crowd.

With songs of heartache and longing, the crowd wanted more and Jessica Lea Mayfield gave them just that. After the set was over and the in-house music started to play, the crowd just stood there begging for one more song. With no encore prepared Jessica came out and preformed one more song without her backing band.

Opening the night was Toronto-based the Wooden Sky -- with their country flavored folk-rock -- and local singer-songwriter Samuel Fickie.
