Josh Ritter and the Royal City Band returned to St. Louis Saturday night at Plush. Opening for them was West County's own Bhi Bhiman.

Ritter remarked on playing in a place with chandeliers and reminisced about last year's show here, thankful that it wasn't "hospitalization hot." Josh is always full of surprises, including a lights-out acoustic performance of "In the Dark," telling everyone to slow dance for thirty seconds, making fun of Nicolas Sparks movies and joking about how he always wondered how Lewis and Clark built the arch when he was a kid. There was never a dull moment, and I don't think Josh stopped smiling once. Nearing the end of the show Josh stated, "This night has been magical." I couldn't have said it better myself.
