Thursdays at the Intersection presented Karate Bikini last night in Strauss Park. Smile at the name of this band, if you like, but they deliver serious music.

From Tim McAvin's ballads and bass guitar to Michelle Rae's sax and vocals to John Horton's lead guitar, this group is just waiting to breakthrough to a wide audience. Rounding out Thursday's version of Bikini Karate were Gabe Doiron on guitar, Danny Hommes on drums and Adam Frick on french horn. Don't miss Karate Bikini.

The performance was part of the weekly summer concert series Thusdays at the Intersection, presented by PNC Arts Alive in partnership 88.1 KDHX and Grand Center, Inc.

Thursdays at the Intersection continues each week through October 4. For more info, visit the Grand Center event page.
