Tuesday night was filled with amazing music at Off Broadway, as local band Mt. Thelonious, opening for Matrimony, played to an intimate crowd on a rainy night.

Although Mt. Thelonious states that they are newly formed, they are extremely polished in their delivery and know just when to let another member take the lead in a song. It was great to see such joy from these young musicians.

Matrimony took the stage without hesitation and played a wonderful set of tunes with an infectious tone, making the listeners want to dance and clap to the beat. Although originally formed by husband and wife duo Ashlee and James Brown, their talent is only enhanced by the other members of the band which include Jordan and CJ Hardee, also family members. Even more impressive was Ashlee's unique vocal range, projecting both soft and raw qualities in all the right places.

Although the night could have gone on longer, this concert goes into my book as one of the best shows I have ever attended.
