The Mountain Goats showed that the cliff they're climbing is a high one. They played to a semi-private audience at the Gargoyle last night. The show was free for Washington University students, and only 75 tickets were available to the public. Their vigorous set grew bumps on the arms of the crowded audience.

Opening band, and St. Louis natives, Water Liars played one of their first shows in St. Louis since their conception. Their set was emotional and full of energy, as lead singer, Justin Kinkel-Schuster, made trips swinging his guitar from the mic and back to Andrew Bryant on the drums.
