Nearing the end of a 45-day tour, Cleveland's Mr. Gnome still had plenty in the tank for a stellar performance at the Firebird on Friday night.

Blending a thick, pulsating backbeat with intricate guitar riffs and mysteriously beautiful vocals, the duo rocked and rolled through a sweat-filled set, leaving the rowdy audience no choice but to demand an encore.

Getting the night's music started were St. Louis bands So Much Closer and Bruiser Queen.
