Neko Case never fails to cut straight to the heart with her voice and lyrics and her latest stop at The Pageant was no exception.

Despite battling a migraine, Case commanded the audience's attention with masterful lyrics that resonate - no matter how many times they have been played- coupled with the sheer power of her voice.

Long time back-up singer, Kelly Hogan, was on point both with harmonies and stage banter, while the rest of the backing band stood as a force in their own right.

Karen Elson, backed by pedal steel and guitar, proved herself a cunning songstress as she opened the evening.
