Undertaking a complete departure in how he creates and performs his music, Derek Vincent Smith brought his Pretty Lights show to the Chaifetz Arena with complete band in tow.

Pretty Lights is traditionally a sample heavy EDM show, with an amazing lighting production. For his latest album, "A Color Map Of The Sun," Derek recorded all of his own tracks with the intent of touring and reproducing his sound with a band.

The light show featured lasers and towers of high powered flood lights that, on command, filled every corner of the arena with a warm glow.  Noticeably missing were the giant LED light boards employed in previous shows.

Opening for Pretty Lights were HeRobust and Danny Brown. heRobust did a fine job of entertaining the crowd, followed by Danny Brown.
