Playing with a power packed band, including Patty Griffin and Buddy Miller, Robert Plant and the Band of Joy gave its adoring crowd a night of music to be remembered.

On Wednesday evening, the Fabulous Fox Theatre welcomed Robert Plant and the Band of Joy to their expansive stage.  Playing a set filled with tunes from catalogues ranging from his own originals to old Zeplin numbers, Plant put on an impressive show that featured high energy and even higher quality musicianship.

Opening the show with their gutbucket soulful sound were Luther and Cody Dickinson of the North Mississippi All-stars.  The brothers Dickinson stepped to the stage, displayed a knack for creating beautiful not-so-crystal-clean blues based music.  With Luther owning the guitar work and Cody playing a wide arrange of instrument (including an amplified washboard through an effects pedal) – the duo filled the room with a variety of tones that sounded as if they were taken from many eras that have long since passed.
