It was a late night of rockabilly fun at the Crack Fox in downtown St. Louis on Wednesday, as Rumble Seat Riot and Bible Belt Sinners hooted and hollered their way through two energetic sets.

The Sinners - a local act fronted by powerhouse vocalist Molly Simms - showcased some new-found diversity in their sound with old school tunes like "Pistol Packing Preacher," giving way to an edgy, punk sound reminiscent of the 1970s CBGB scene.

Closing the night was Rumble Seat Riot, an Iowa group who endured car troubles and an 11-hour drive before taking the stage at Crack Fox. The three-piece act had the soul and gospel roots of rockabilly down pat, with lead vocals that recalled a young Elvis Presley and harmonies to boot.

The one-two punch of rockabilly was not the night's only music however, as local singer-songwriter Riley James opened the night's proceedings with guitar in hand.
