The Hold Steady swaggered into St. Louis to find an eager audience packing Off Broadway to near overflow capacity on Thursday, January 30. The Minneapolis-based bar rockers laid down their signature 70s guitar licks in a lengthy and energetic set.

Supporting THS on the tour was Tim Barry, best known as the lead singer of Avail, the Richmond, Va. punk act. Barry performed solo, strumming an acoustic guitar and telling stories of trains, love gone wrong and the simple life.
