The Root Diggers kicked off the eighth season of KDHX Harvest Sessions at Tower Grove Farmer's Market with two sets of old-time string music on Saturday.

The band played old-time fiddle music from the Appalachians, Missouri and Illinois. For good measure they also played some Celtic fiddle music and a waltz.

Performing today:
Colin Blair, fiddle
Jeremiah Evans, claw hammer banjo
Steve Pupillo, guitar
Allen Spencer, mandolin
Mark Lang, upright bass

The Harvest Sessions is a free Saturday morning concert series presented at the Tower Grove Farmers Market throughout the market season. Harvest Sessions is presented by KDHX and Worms Way Hydroponics & Organics. Also sponsoring Harvest Sessions is the Regional Arts Commission and the Arts Education Council.
