Blues and rock collided in the best way possible Saturday night, April 13, at the Gramophone.

The Stone Foxes -- touring in support of their album "Small Fires" -- rocked the Grove with a playful and soulful set that evoked the classic sounds (Cream, Spencer-Davis Group) and contemporary (Kings of Leon, Black Keys). The Stone Foxes are a live act to be reckoned with, trading vocals, instruments and banter. Opening the show was local act Lions of Hazelwood, who held their own well in their own set of blues rock.
