I'm not sure if there could have been a better opener for the Walkmen. As soon as Young Man finished their first song, everyone in the audience who had not heard them before were assured that the rest of the show was going to be fantastic.
It's not easy to make Plush appear to be packed. However, the Walkmen pulled the crowd and played for them exactly what they were wanting, a near-flawless performance, including some mega vocal belches by front man Hamilton Leithauser and some favorite guitar riffs by Paul Maroon.
