Kentucky Knife Fight cut into Thursday night with a vengeance. The local punk/blues/all-around-gritty-rock-n-roll band set the tone for the night that was thankfully met by Heavy Cream.

Lead vocalist Jessica McFarland stormed around the stage in a unitard and belted out lyrics in a Joplin-meets-emo style. Backed by a tight and thrashing band, they met Kentucky Knife Fights's energy and drove the night right along.

Those Darlins had a lot to be thankful for. It was a busy night for Off Broadway and the crowd was intent on making sure they knew it. Drinks were raised and heads bopped up and down from the first to the final chord.
