Needing no introduction, Wanda Jackson took the stage of Blueberry Hill's Duck Room last night, and proved that even after fifty years in the business, she can still hold a crowd in the palm of her hand.

Upon making her way across the stage, Jackson received a standing ovation and a long round of applause before getting started in her set. Jackson said she didn't want to bore the audience with all her songs, but just sing a few highlights from her career. What was unique about the show was that Jackson played a lot of covers of songs that she loved, including a few from Elvis Presley and Amy Winehouse. Jackson also was able to carry the audience through the set with fantastic stories that spanned throughout her career, and made everyone in the audience feel the concert just didn't last long enough. Despite enthusiasm from the crowd, Jackson was not able to make an encore appearance, making all the patrons hope that she'll make one more trip to St. Louis soon.

Local favorite Little Rachel opened for Jackson, along with Carolyn Flood, a native of St. Louis who currently resides in Nashville.
