From the first note played by singer-songwriter Ash Grunwald to the last note to ring out from Xavier Rudd’s guitar, the Old Rock House was in a trance of enlightenment on Wednesday evening.

This was a show that did not disappoint for one second, and the gathering of fans were welcoming, friendly and out to pay respect for this talent pool of great musicians.

Swaying, dancing, singing along and finding a groove to last all evening was easy to do, as Rudd made the music impossible to ignore. With help from his smooth-dancing, showboating bass player and on the mark drummer, the crowd danced away all evening. As his tour continues, I definitely recommend catching a Xavier Rudd show. Words cannot do justice to the experience that this St. Louis crowd had last night.
