Several years back I was lucky enough to head to Columbia for the Roots N Blues Festival with fellow KDHX photographer Nate Burrell.

We were able to divide and conquer, catch the acts we wanted and enjoy the show after our photos duties were completed. Tackling a festival as a one-person team was a much different story.

I did a lot of back-and-forth and even some jogging. There were some bands I wanted to stick around to hear, but my schedule wouldn't allow it. A press pass is a privileged thing to wield and the joy of being front and center never subsided, however as Sunday rolled around I was wiped out.

I wasn't able to see a single set from open to close, but decided that the set most worth the wait was Jimmy Cliff.
