Keller Williams stopped in at the Pageant Friday night with his "What the Funk 2014" tour, featuring the band More Than a Little.

The group played several covers, including a funky translation of the Talking Heads’ "This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)," and a grooved out “Doin’ it Right” by Daft Punk.

Keller Williams is quirky, unpredictable, and is, by himself, a complete bare-footed jam band. He is warm and clearly having fun when he plays, even more so when demonstrating his prowess on several instruments. Williams looped bass guitar, on top of electric guitar, on top of drum board and vocals, while entertaining an earnest crowd with no shortage of dancers.

During the second of two sets, More Than a Little joined Williams, now donning a Robert Palmer-esque black suit, with a clear message that it was about to get funky. Hailing from Richmond, Va., the band added a gospel and soul vibe to the set, taking us all to funk church on a Friday night.
