Lynette Khoo-Summers, Asst. Professor of Physical Therapy at Washington University on the Medical Program for the Performing Arts

August 27, 2013 by Nancy Kranzberg

Ms. Khoo-Summers discusses the Medical Program for the Performing Arts at Washington University. From violinists with injured arms to circus performers and dancers, the program specializes in both treatment and preventitive care for performing artists. A former dancer, Lynette became interested in the field of physical therapy for the arts after encountering an injury. Working with Dance St. Louis, she visits performers prior to showtime to help them with any problems that need alleviating--the show, of course, must go on.
